On the other hand holding a trade for a full day or a week is actually thinking that you can predict the future and that you know all the parties playing your game, you don’t. Not only you don’t know them but even if you did you have no idea of what are their requirement at a particular point in time. Do we have a big player who has decided (without telling you) at at 2 pm that particular Tuesday they’d buy or sell a huge quantity of whatever you’re trading? You have no idea about this and trading is just slightly improved gambling.
