I was once a losing trader
In 2006, I borrowed $20,000 on credit cards to become a day trader, convinced making money would be easy. I was wrong. Each month I lost money from my trading account. By year-end, after countless hours trying to learn to trade, I had lost lots of money and faced the harsh reality of how difficult it was. This was demoralizing.
In 2007, I doubled down on having a trading plan and discipline. I started making some profits. But that would be followed by losing streaks where I'd lose emotional control and make reactive decisions, deviating from my trading plan. These "revenge" trades were my attempt to earn back losses, but they rarely worked. Those months were miserable.
Eventually, I discovered computer-automated trading, realizing I was the weak link in my trading plan. A computer always follows the plan 100%. Soon, I had a single profitable automated system! I was elated. This marked the turning point - my trading life changed forever. This documented the point of my trading thanks to the computerized, emotionless trading systems I developed, which finally stopped my losing streak.
Over years of refining my automated trading development process, I compiled my notes, frameworks, and best practices into a repeatable methodology I teach in my System Development Master Class (SDMC).
